patchwork denim

Love this ASOS Colour Blocked Denim Shirt. Looks like a mix between the Celine patchwork denim shirt and the Isabel Marant pink denim patchwork dress (below), but a whole lot cheaper! Get your hands on it here.

alexa chung for madewell

US store Madewell has collaborated with British trendsetter, model, TV presenter and contributing editor at British Vogue Alexa Chung once again to design and create their Alexa Chung for Madewell Fall collection, which she styled herself. The collection launched on September 22, and that is when I fell in love with it. Of course I am a big fan of Alexa, she is one of my 'style icons', I love everything about her, from her general 'look' to her quirky and unique style. I would just take home the whole collection if I could. I love the whole 1970s California vibe. "I almost wanna go high five them" Alexa says of seeing girls on the street wearing her deisgns.
Some of my favourites are the carine dress in the fourth photo, the colores dress in the tenth photo, the cora dotted shirt in the twelfth photo, the Patrice gold top in the last photo and the risky business striped shirt (see collection).
You can shop the collection here.

a story about a pair of shoes

So basically I have been hunting down these shoes for a few months now. Ever since I saw fashiontoast's (Rumi Neely) black Steve Madden Westii Suede Wedges back in June, i had to have them.

I went straight to the Steve Madden website to check them out, and I was ecstatic they were only $100! But later found it was the American website and they don't ship to Australia... So I went to the Steve Madden store in the city and found them but unfortunately they are AUD$169, and that is a tad off the budget.

I found them on multiple more websites like http://shop.nordstrom.com/ but none of them had my exact colour, size, etc. or they didn't ship to Australia. So i found a lookalike on ALDO Shoes, the Schlender Wedges but they just didn't tick all the boxes for me...

Until a couple of weeks ago I found an exact lookalike (but satin) on Sportsgirl for $100 and I knew I was going to buy them ASAP. Now they live in my closet and I love them. As high as they may be, they're such a versatile wedge and will match nearly anything.

photo diary

Started off the week with a day in the city of shopping and pampering... The Priceline Pamper Parlour took place on Monday 26th & Tuesday 27th in Martin Place and i went both days - free hairstyling, manicures, makeovers & goodie bags! Can it get any better?
